The Last Conversation

"I have faith in you brother."

"I have faith in you, too."

"Shed no fear, brother,
I’ll be back soon."

"I trust you will, brother,
But stand brave,
The duty’s on me,
You musn’t stay."

"I love you, brother."

"I love you, too.
And when you see mama,
Please tell her I do."

"I won’t let you go, brother,
I’ll lay here with you."

"Don’t be a fool,
Home is waiting for you."

From the silence of the scene,
Came a yell from afar,

"They’re coming for me, brother,
Help me let go."

"I won’t leave you, brother,
I won’t let you die alone."

"I’m hurting too much,
And mama’s waiting for you,
Just help me let go brother,
It’s the least you can do."

"I love you, brother."

"I love you, too."

The soldier shut his brother’s eyes,
Held up in his hands, one loaded gun,
He kissed the forehead,
of the shivering, bleeding soul,
"Close your eyes, brother,
I’m letting you go."

The sigh of relief that followed,
haunted the night,
The shot that ran out,
Echoes in his mind.

Cutting the silence,
The lone brother, he cried,
He got up to his knees,
And screamed to the skies.

And from afar, came the one reply,
The reply from the killers
of his brother tonight.

He plunged into the soil,
Oblivious to the faces around,

"Mama will miss you, mama will love you,
They’re coming to kill me, brother, I must leave you."

As the enemy dawned him,
he painfully whispered,
With tears in his eyes…

"Sweet dreams, brother."

Watch Them Go

April 27, 2007

Watch them go,
you must watch them go,
struggle in silence,
with your head held low,

cry, if you would,
if you feel the sorrow,
painful, you must be,
to depend on tomorrow,

you’re hating your leaders,
the soul deceivers,
Killing your freedom,
with false acclaims,

Watch them go,
You were forced to watch them go,
Let your tears slide down,
With your head held strong,

They’ll return when it’s done,
Just wave goodbye,
if the telegram arrives,
you’ll surely know why.

They fought for their killers,
they fought for your lives,
Watch your sons go,
Just wave goodbye.

She Goes For

April 23, 2007

She goes for the match when she’s refrained from cigars.
She tells tales to babies, when their parents aren’t around,
So they won’t seem like lies.

She goes for the candle when she’s burning the house.

She smiles in contentment, when she lifts up her arms,
she strives for the darkness when the darkness is far,
Reckless to tyranny, she sweeps the guitar,
Entwining her fingers,
Oh self-remarks.

She goes for the light when the bulb is out.

It’s obvious she broke her nail too far.
Her lipsticks demolishing her face,
She scrapes for the sound.
She likes the taste of bloody cars.

she goes for the silent willows when the traffic is loud.

She’s wild in her dreams,
She fakepaints her face,
She tells tales to mice,
When the cats are out to play.

She falls asleep when the whole world is awake.

She goes for death when the trend is to live.

LongStoriesBeTold

Wheee okay so much catching up to do on this blog! Argh, I’ve been posting poems and all those stuff recently. Well, whatever I is moving on! So hmm what’s been happening. OKay, My exams are coming up and my dada is being a pain by making me study a lot. But it’s cool, I am already studying anyway, I just didn’t like the fact that he made it sound like I wouldn’t study without him telling me to.

Anyhoo, this weekend was fun, FRHX was totally happening. Whoo, except for the bit when Nindy got busted. Will not go into details. Hahah! Anyhoo, went to school today, was okay, got really agitated in science class coz’ stupid Nicholas was annoying the heck out of my teacher who didn’t know what MOVE ON means, so he kept trying to explain things to Nic, and we had to move SOOOOOOOOOO slowly with our revision papers. Sheesssh.

Classic of the Day: At breaktime, our DT mates sits outside of our DT class. We wait until breaktime is over and we just keep talking, without a clue that the hallways were gradually emptying and leaving us just sitting outside the toilets and the nurse’s office. Nothing seemed weird.

Mr. Mugridge pops his head out 5 minutes later.
"Oh, dear, I was sitting inside waiting and wondering where you all were, I didn’t see you all were sitting beneath the window!"

HAHAHA, you had to be there to actually find it funny. =D

Anyway, moving on. Basketball was very exercising, I managed to win all the games, strangely enough. Phew, damn I was tired. Then it was followed by choir and boring old maths.

Jarrod, maths is SO not cool. Whether it’s a ballad or not. Pfft. Okay, hung out with friends for a while afterwards, was having some weirdass laughing fit with Nindy and Dela. Couldn’t stop laughing, we laughed at everything. Dela needed to pee. She was rolling around the floor. We were just lying there laughing at her. And she put her head on my butt and said,

"I’m giving you a butt massage."
OKAYYYY. Again, you had to be there to find it funny.

Whew. well thats all for now. TATA!!

I would smile in despair,
When his username shows up,
Knowing that is all I could get,
I would say Hello,
With his false acclaim,
Knowing all he’d say is Hi.
I would send a smile,
To brighten up his day,
Knowing he’d only smile back without a thought.
I would send him a nudge,
To show I’m still alive,
Knowing he would never ask.
I would be the one typing,
To keep the conversation living,
Knowing I’d never see him reply.
I would change my picture,
To catch his attention,
Knowing his ones always catches mine.
I would wait for him,
When he says "Be right back"
Knowing he’d would never return,
I would watch him sign off,
And keep the window open,
Knowing that was all I could get.
