Movies, movies, movies!

1. One that made you laugh.
– Steve Carrell’s movies! Get Smart, 40-Year Old Virgin, Bruce Almighty.
I still detest myself for not having been able to watch Evan Almighty yet! This guy is a genius, I used to love watching Jim Carrey stuff but now it’s this guy that cracks me up. How many actors are able to do what he does; keep a straight, goddamnbloodyserious expression and say the most stupidest, hilarious thing? Not many. I almost pissed my pants watching 40-year-old virgin, especially when he was decribing how boobs felt like bags of sand. HAHAHA. Still laughing at the thought.
Actually, a LOT of movies make me laugh, but I can’t exactly write them all down here, can I? White Chicks and Benchwarmers are on the list, too by the way!
2. One that made you cry
–Artificial Intelligence
I’m not going to talk about those romantic movies, because those movies obviously are known to make people cry. So instead, I’m going to talk about A.I. Good god, this boy is an awesome actor! A little bit older than he was in The 6th Sense, he stars as a robot who learns to live with the parents of a comatic boy. The mother is cold to him at first, unable to adjust to the awkward movements of the robot-boy, but slowly, he learns to feel, and learns to love. However, he is framed for being a danger to the real son who comes back home, and is sent away by his mother to the robot dump. I also love this movie because Jude Law (sexay sexay) stars as the playboy robot who helps the boy find his way back to his mother. I loved the ending so much, how he managed to wish for his mother to be with him for one more day, and how he managed to sleep, and for the first time, dream, like a real boy. Oh gawsh!
3. One movie you loved when you were a child.
– The Wizard of Oz
Ooh, I loved it! I watched it almost every day, along with Sleeping Beauty! xD But I remembered how I used to be terrified of the munchkins momentarily, and got all creeped out. I loved Toto, and the Scarecrow the best heehee.
Follow the yellow brick road! There’s no place like home! The wicked witch is dead! Wheee! Ahh, memories…
4. One you’ve seen more than once.
– Too many, too many! ARGH!
5. One you loved but were embarrassed to admit it.
– None, I ain’t embarrassed to admit any movie I loved!
6. One you hated.
– Lions for Lamb
WHAT THE SHIT WAS THAT GAY MOVIE ABOUT!???!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!! It ended with me and my mother completely BORED out of our WITS and PISSED. What a waste of friggin’ 20bucks! Sure, sure it goes all detailed and stuff about the war and American issues but HONESTLY? The only bit I enjoyed was the touching moment of the two best friends dying together, but even that was obviously added to give a cliché touch to the film. Booorrringgg! Do NOT watch that man… Tom Cruise… Never liked him anyway.
7. One that scared you
– The Eye 2
It didn’t so much make me go “ARGH!!” but more like “Woah…”, you know? It was very thought-provoking, the whole idea of people your life had affected might return to you once they have died, and form a life within you and everything… Very, very intriguing. Reincarnation and karma, all these things I’m usually very interested in, being a Buddhist, and well, this movie just fit neatly into my hands. Creepy at parts, especially the bit when the Shu Qi realizes the man she thought was a lady’s husband was actually… not there. And when the lady gives birth, she sees the same scar on the baby’s face as she had seen on the spirit’s and the lady had said “My baby even has the same birth mark as my father…” It was like… BAM. Really nice. Weird and freakish, the way Shu Qi commits suicide over and over and she still doesn’t die because the ghost of the lady her husband had an affair with was begging her to let her in to become her child. Cool movie, this.
8. One that bored you
– That movie my dad made me watch with him in the cinema. How many people were in the room? Like… 5…. It’s so boring I don’t even remember the name. -_-
9. One that made you happy.
– Les Choristes
Ahhh, when it comes to ‘movies that gives you the tingles in your tummy’, it’s THIS one! Sweet, and filled with lovely music, with very good morals behind the story, I absolutely loved the way I always stare at the credits thinking back on the way the kids threw paper planes out the window of their classroom as their music teacher left the school, thanking him, and singing the songs he had taught them. Argh, so heart-wrenching. Really makes me smile.
10. One that made you miserable
– Control
A movie on Ian Curtis. Enough said?
11. One movie you weren’t brave enough to see
– I forgot… really…
12. One movie character you’ve fallen in love with
Call me a freak, call me a weirdo, I will say…. Sweeney Todd. HAHA! I know, I know, he’s a maniac who came from hell sent to kill all the men, but hey he was once a man so passionately in love. So in love, he could kill men after men because of what they had done to his wife. Creepy, but one hell of a romantic, no?
13. The last movie you saw
In the cinemas, it was WALL-E!!! So cute, I had watched it with my cousin and my niece in France… But a movie on my own, I had re-watched the third sequel of Pirates of the Caribbean. Love the dialogue they have, especially the ones between Barbossa and Jack Sparrow. Sends me into fits of laughter.
KAMI!!! Yeah yeah yeah, no second thoughts on that, I am dying to see KAMI the movie!
